Shots fired in Franchesco's parking lot

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A man is arrested after Rockford Police say he fired a gun in the Franchesco's parking lot.

It happened around 12:30pm Sunday. Officers say Mauricio Luna, Jr. was celebrating his birthday at the restaurant, but left and wasn't let back in. Police say he got a gun from a car and fired several rounds into the air. He was arrested by a Metro Enforcement Officer.

Police say they found nine shell casings in the parking lot. No one was hurt.

Luna is charged with reckless discharge and aggravated assault. He had a valid FOID and concealed carry license.
