Sheriff: Rockford man caught dealing drugs on Auburn Street

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Authorities caught a Rockford man selling drugs in a parking lot on Auburn Street, according to the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office.

Jarrion Moore, 23, was arrested on multiple drug charges.

Winnebago County deputies conducted a narcotics investigation Thursday afternoon in the area of Auburn Street and North Rockton Avenue.

Deputies allegedly witnessed Moore making a drug transaction around 3:30 p.m. Moore reportedly threw several baggies with crack cocaine to the ground as authorities approached him.

Moore was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine (1-15 grams), delivery of 1-15 grams of cocaine, and resisting/obstructing a peace officer.

Moore is being held in Winnebago County Jail. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
