BELVIDERE Ill. (WIFR) -- A large fire engulfed the Stateline skies with smoke as a shed went up in flames in Belvidere.

This shed now completely deformed with the roof caving in had six tractors, a boat and other items inside. Seven different ems and fire agency were at the scene. Officials say it took about half an hour to control the fire .fortunately nobody was inside the shed when the fire started.

"The homeowners were outside all day working on the farmers and they were sitting and the lady inside the house saw some black smoke and sent her husband out to the shed and when he opened the side door there was heavy black smoke and flames and it just took off from there," said Kent Hulett, fire chief. Boone County Fire District Two.

The fire chief says once the fire started other items in the shed exploded causing more damage.
