CHERRY VALLEY, Ill. (WIFR) -- Children with special needs can visit Santa in a sensory-friendly this weekend at CherryVale Mall.
The mall will host sensory-friendly experience from 9-11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8.
CherryVale Mall will mute mall music and keep lighting dimmed during the visits. Organizers say the accommodations are meant to support sensory, physical, and developmental needs of our attendees.
While the event is free, organizers say space is limited. Families are encouraged to reserve spots here.
The event comes in partnership with Autism Speaks, a leading autism science and advocacy organization.
