UPDATE: Roscoe woman arrested for driving under the influence which resulted in a woman's death

UPDATE: ROSCOE, Ill. (WIFR) – Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives have made an arrest for the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash that killed 34-year-old Roscoe resident Laura Kraman.

On Monday, 27-year-old Katlyn Clayton was released from the hospital and arrested for aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol involving death and reckless homicide.

Clayton is innocent until proven guilty.

UPDATE: ROSCOE, Ill. (WIFR) -- Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz has identified the 34-year-old Roscoe woman who was killed Friday night in a head-on collision as Laura Kraman.

The coroner's office says Kraman died of blunt trauma to the head and chest.

UPDATE: ROSCOE, Ill. (WIFR) -- The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident that left a 34-year-old woman dead.

The sheriff's office says two SUV's collided head-on Roscoe Road late Friday night. Before emergency crews got to the scene a third car struck one of the SUV's.

The driver of one of the SUV's was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the other SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the third car was not hurt.

The victim's names have not been released. The investigation is ongoing.

ROSCOE, Ill. (WIFR) -- A 34-year-old Roscoe woman died in a head-on collision early Saturday morning near Roscoe and Gleasman roads.

The Winnebago County Coroner's Office was called to the scene just after midnight. Two SUVs collided head-on, and one of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name has not been released.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash. An autopsy is pending.
