Roscoe resident wins $1 million Illinois Lottery prize

Roscoe, Ill. (WIFR) - Roscoe resident Lindsaye Fields scratched an Illinois Lottery World Class Millions ticket and instantly won $1,000,000.

“I’m calm now, but when I scratched my ticket and saw that I won $1,000,000, I was freaking out!” she said when she presented her winning ticket at the Lottery Prize Center in Rockford.

Fields, 29, was at a gas station buying a soda when she decided to treat herself to a World Class Millions instant ticket. She was at home when she scratched her ticket and then she immediately returned to the store to have the clerk double-check it. “I couldn’t believe I won such a big prize!” She plans to buy a house and a new car, and invest.

The winning ticket was purchased at Mobil, 9915 Orlando Street in Machesney Park.

The retailer received $10,000, equal to one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.

World Class Millions is a $30 instant ticket offering three top prizes of $15 million, seven prizes of $1 million, and 20 prizes of $100,000.

One of the $15 million prizes, two of the $1 million prizes, and 10 of the $100,000 prizes have not yet been claimed.
