Rockton getting new high tech McDonald's
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockton is getting a brand new McDonald’s with some 21st century technology. A new McDonald’s that is expected to be standing right here in less than 3-months is also supposed to be embracing technology.
The new location will have the normal things associated with a McDonald’s including a 24-hour drive through and traditional counter for ordering. But, the Rockton McDonald’s will also offer a mobile order and payment system for customers using the McDonald’s app. They will also be one of the first McDonald’s in the Stateline to include the self-order kiosk, where you can customize your order with a touch screen system in the store. The franchise order says this is an exciting time for his customers.
“We’re excited to bring new technologies to a community that’s forward thinking and the community that wants to advance and move forward this gives an opportunity to play with these ideas as we develop them across the county,” says Guy Bucciferro, Owner and Operator of Rockford area McDonald’s.
Bucciferro says starting in October they will be taking applications for the new and South Beloit locations. The new McDonald’s is expected to be up and operating by December. More than 80% of the McDonalds’ nationwide are owned and operated by local franchises.
