Rockford woman charged for abusing four children in her care

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Rockford woman was charged for physically abusing multiple children in her care earlier this year.

Wanda Motten, 48, was indicted on multiple counts of aggravated battery.

On May 17, 2019, Rockford police received a complaint that four children, between the ages of one and eight years old, were physically abused by Motten.

Motten faces up to five years in prison if convicted. An arraignment hearing is scheduled for Nov. 21.

Motten is considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
