ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Rockford man and two teens were arrested Thursday afternoon after a violent fight broke out outside of an elementary school.
Police say the fight happened outside Lewis Lemon Elementary School around 4:15 p.m. Diquan Yoho, 19, and two juveniles, a 17-year-old male and a 13-year-old female, were arrested following the fight.
One juvenile was reportedly stabbed, then took himself to a hospital. The other was battered and taken to the hospital by an ambulance, according to police.
Police say both juveniles are recovering from non-life-threatening injuries. They are both charged with aggravated battery in a public way and being held in a juvenile detention center.
Yoho faces charges of aggravated battery in a public way and possession of a controlled substance. He is being held at Winnebago County Jail.
Yoho and the two juveniles are considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
