ROCKOFRD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Rockford man was arrested after police found a loaded weapon in his possession Sunday morning.

Nate Williams, 25, faces charges of unlawful use of weapons by a felon and no FOID card.

Police responded to a suspicious vehicle around a Quik Mart parking lot on Seventh Street. Three people came out of the vehicle after the business was closed.

Officers say Williams was not cooperative. Police found the weapon as he was taken into custody.

Williams was taken to Winnebago County Jail. The other two people in the car were released without charges.

Williams is considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
