ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Rockford man was arrested Wednesday, nearly one month after he allegedly fired shots at the Auburn Manor complex.

Marcus Raymond, 24, was accused of firing shots at the complex on Aug. 7, 2019 around 1:30 a.m.

Police were called to the complex in the 4200 block of Auburn
Street after a ShotSpotter alert. Officers say shots were fired in the back end of the complex.

In a follow-up investigation, detectives determined that two groups of people were shooting at each other, then left the area after firing shots.

Raymond was charged with unlawful use of weapons by a felon and aggravated discharge of a firearm. He was found in the 3100 block of Arcadia Terrace.

Raymond is being held at the Winnebago County Jail. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
