Rockford man arrested for cocaine possession

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Rockford man is in jail after police find more than 50 grams of cocaine in his possession.

Around 2 p.m. Thursday, the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Unit responded to the 400 block of North Henrietta Avenue for a drug investigation.

Authorities found 49-year-old Charles Simpson of Rockford in possession of over 50 grams of cocaine. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and delivery of 15-100 grams of cocaine.

Simpson is currently in the Winnebago County jail.
