ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Rockford man accused of sexual assault of several children was arrested Tuesday on warrant.

Glenn Ferris, 66, was charged with five counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and eight counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

The Rockford Police Department’s Sensitive Crimes Unit investigated reports of child sexual assault in the 1900 block of W. Riverside Blvd. over the past two months.

Detectives confirmed three children under the age of 13 were victims of sexual assault. Police say the suspect knew all of the victims and his alleged actions were not random.

Ferris is being held in Winnebago County Jail on a $1 million bond. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
