ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Rockford man was arrested in connection to early morning burglary of local business Jasmine Pantry on Friday.

Anthony Craig, 44, is charged with burglary, criminal damage to property and resisting an officer.

Police responded to a burglary alarm at the business on 2614 Kilburn around 3:40 a.m. Once they arrived, police chased a suspect right outside the business.

Police say Craig briefly ran away with items from the store in a duffle bag. He was later found near Kilburn and Collins, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Craig was taken to Winnebago County Jail. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
