Rockford drivers ranked best in Illinois, 51st in nation from Allstate report

Rockford drivers can get around the city with a little more confidence after recognition from Allstate's 2018 America's Best Drivers Report.

According to the

​, Rockford drivers were ranked as the best in the state of Illinois and 51st around the nation.

Rockford had some close in-state competition with Joliet ranked 56th and Naperville ranked 60th. Aurora (74) and Chicago (129) also made the cut for Illinois.

The report ranked 200 U.S. cities over insurance factors such as average years between claims and relative claim likelihood.

Brownsville, Texas was ranked for having the best drivers. Baltimore, Maryland finished last on the report.
