ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) ----- With the school year in full swing, Rockford University rolled out the purple carpet for interested students and their families for Future Regent Visit Day on Saturday.
The all-day event gives prospective applicants an in-depth look at all the campus has to offer, including student performances, an open house and an interactive tour.
This year's event coincides with the annual homecoming celebrations, adding an extra level of excitement to an already jam-packed day.
"We have an admission presentation; they're going to tour campus in a scavenger hunt. We are inviting them to our homecoming football game this afternoon, they'll talk with professors on campus, so a great way to really immerse themselves in Rockford University and see if this is a place they can envision themselves for the next four years," said Tyler Ratts.
Visitors got a complimentary lunch and free tickets to the Regent's football game against Wisconsin Lutheran University.
