With the national Mega Millions jackpot climbing to a billion dollars, Illinois Lottery gave people a chance to win big Friday morning.

Hundreds of people visited Schnucks on 2642 Charles St., helping people consider what they would do if they won the big prize.

"I don't want to sit at home and be bored and be broke, I would just enjoy working everyday, taking care of my residents and being with my community," said lottery player Toni Anderson.

Anderson added she would hope to travel and spend time with her family as well.

"I got three boys, my godson, we're going straight to Disney World," said Anderson. "Then, me and my mom, we've got to hit Vegas, so that's my goal."

People came from all over the area to play and take a ticket.

"It's amazing, I came all the way from Loves Park, all the way over here, just to get a ticket," said lottery player Annie Camper.
