ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Just Breathe 815 expands its resources for homeless teens and young adults thanks in part to a donation from the Kiwanis Club of Rockford.

Just Breathe 815 received the donation of $2,600 Tuesday. The organization's founder Kevin Ware says he's restructuring the drop-in center to help not only teens but homeless people aged 18 to 24 by adding more resources like GED courses.

"The donation will go to help support our operations, our educational programs, our health and nutrition programs that we're going to be working on as well, so we're just so grateful and thankful that the Rockford Kiwanis is blessing us with this donation," says Ware.

Ware says the organization is working to become part of the Kiwanis Club because of the great causes it supports. The Kiwanis Club of Rockford also presented a donation to the Northern Illinois Red Ribbon Program.
