Report: Illinois named 10th most diverse state

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A new WalletHub report ranks Illinois among the Top 10 diverse states in the United States of America.

Illinois was named the 10th most diverse state in the report.

The state was recognized for having the second-best political diversity and seventh-best religious diversity.

Illinois was also ranked among the Top 20 states in socioeconomic diversity (12), cultural diversity (12), racial and ethnic diversity (12) and income diversity (16).

California was named the most diverse state in the nation, while West Virginia was named the least diverse state.
