Red Cross moves Freeport shelter for flood victims

FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) -- The American Red Cross is moving its Freeport shelter for those in need of flood relief.

Red Cross will now hold the shelter at the Embury United Methodist Church at 515 S. Galena Ave. The shelter had been at Highland Community College over the last week.

If you need shelter from flooding in the Rockford and Freeport, call the Red Cross flood line at 872-529-1784.

The Red Cross also has these shelters available to flooding victims:

-Rockford: Brooke Road United Methodist Church at 1404 Brook Rd.
-Machesney Park: Riverside Community Church at 6168 N. Second St.
