ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Rockford Public Schools has canceled all after-school activities in anticipation of severe winter weather.
The announcement comes as an ice storm warning takes effect in the Stateline from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning.
RPS 205 schools will close after regular dismissal on Tuesday. The district says some high school athletic programs might hold non-mandatory, varsity-only practice after school on Tuesday.
RPS 205 closed school on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday last week after moderate snowfall and frigid cold temperatures.
