RAMP sees growth with Food Truck Thursdays, seeks more vendors

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- One month into RAMP's Food Truck Thursdays, the organization is finding that more and more people are pleasing their palates.

Every Thursday until August 29, food trucks will be located across from Millennium Fountain, under the Jefferson Street Bridge. You can purchase from food trucks in downtown Rockford weekly from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Veebo's Pizza and Coley's Cooler have been staples of Food Truck Thursdays, but organizers are trying to keep it fresh by bringing in new trucks.

Plantastic, a vegan food truck, is among the new vendors.

"This is our first year, so we're very open to new things," said RAMP development associate Brooke Schrieber. "We're just getting started so the more food trucks, the merrier. It brings more people, so we're always happy to invite anyone."

RAMP will receive 10% of proceeds for all walk-up orders and 20 percent for pre-orders
