ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Dozens marched from Kingdom Authority Church to at city hall. Those marching held signs that read "black lives matter" and "justice for Eddie Patterson."

They were unable to bring the signs inside city council chambers and had to stand in the hallway outside.

Rockford Police Chief Dan O'Shea eventually had to tell them they were disturbing the peace. O'Shea agreed to meet with Kingdom Authority Pastor Melvin Brown at his church Tuesday.

Currently, the Winnebago Boone County Integrity Task Force is investigating the deadly traffic stop. The group is made up of law enforcement from all over the stateline except members of the Rockford police department.
