CHICAGO (WIFR) -- Illinois Governor-Elect J.B. Pritzker hopes to legalize marijuana quickly once he takes office, according to a report from WFLD in Chicago.
Pritzker says he wants to legalize, tax and regulate marijuana.
“That’s something we can work on nearly right away,” Pritzker told WFLD on Wednesday.
Pritzker won the Illinois Governor's race Tuesday over incumbent Bruce Rauner, who has shown opposition to legalizing marijuana.
Pritzker also suggested he wants to look at vacating arrest records for people convicted of marijuana-related crimes.
