Prairie Street Brewing Company has launched a new beer with plans to help the Rockford community.

The Left-Handed Monkey Wrench IPA is now available.

For every pint purchased of the IPA, Prairie Street Brewing Co. will donate 50 cents to Woodward's United Way Campaign.

"People will be able to come here sample a great brew," says Paul Logli, United Way of Rock River Valley CEO. "When they're drinking, hopefully they're thinking of United Way, their community and all the good things Woodward does."

The beer is a seven-barrel batch, which totals to 14 kegs and more than 1,700 pints of beer.

Left-Handed Monkey Wrench IPA is described as an IPA with sharp, pine flavors and some grapefruit notes.

Prairie Street Brewing Co. says it will sell the beer until it runs out.
