Coroner: Woman found dead in Loves Park identified

An update on a body that was found in a Loves Park subdivision Tuesday afternoon. According to the Daily Herald, 60-year-old Donna Black of St. Charles was released from jail last month after her conviction on felony domestic battery charges.
Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz said that Black had been dead for quite some time when her body was found in her SUV near Commonwealth Drive and Sunset Terrace in Loves Park.
Hintz said due to decomposition of Black's body, the initial autopsy was unable to determine a cause of death. According to the Herald, Black was sentenced to 180 days in jail after pleading guilty to attacking her sleeping husband with a baseball bat in 2017..
Meantime neighbors say when they heard the news, they were in disbelief and now keep their eyes more on the cars parked in their subdivision...

The Winnebago County Coroner's Office has identified a 60-year-old woman whose body was found Tuesday afternoon.
Donna Black, of St. Charles, Illinois, was identified as the victim.
Black was found dead in a vehicle near Sunset Terrace and Commonwealth Drive. The coroner's office says it was evident she was deceased for some time based on how much her body was decomposed.
The preliminary cause of death is pending further studies following an autopsy. The coroner's office says, due to tissue break down, further study is needed to determined the cause of her death.
The death is under investigation from the Loves Park Police Department.

Loves Park Police are investigating after the body of a 60-year-old woman was found Tuesday afternoon.
Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz says neighbors found the woman inside an SUV near Commonwealth Drive and Sunset Terrace. Hintz says she has been dead for several days and is not from the area.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. The investigation is ongoing.
