Man arrested after drug probe, home condemned by city

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A 40-year-old man is in custody after police find cash and crack cocaine in a Rockford home.

Rockford police executed a search warrant Monday in the 400 block of North Hinkley Avenue after receiving complaints of possible drug activity in the area.

They discovered more than 25 grams of crack cocaine, money and other items.

Robert Young was taken into custody for possession with intent to deliver 15-100 grams of cocaine.

The home was also condemned by the city of Rockford after police found a significant amount of raw sewage in the basement.

Young is in the Winnebago County Jail.

He's considered innocent until proven guilty.
