UPDATE: Pedestrian identified from fatal pickup truck accident in Beloit

BELOIT, Wis. (WIFR) -- The woman died who died after being hit by a pickup truck Sunday afternoon has been identified, according to WMTV​ in Madison.

The woman was identified as April Guthrie, age 47 of Beloit.

According to Beloit Police Department, Guthrie was struck by the truck as she was walking her dog across a street.

Police say the pickup truck driver, a 56 year-old Verona man, is fully cooperating with the investigation. The crash is under investigation, but investigators say it does not appear to be the drivers fault.

BELOIT, Wis. (WIFR) -- A 47-year-old woman is dead after she was hit by a pickup truck while walking her dog.

Investigators say it happened around 4:53 Sunday evening at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Oak Street in Beloit.

The dog was taken to Veterinarian Emergency Services with life-threatening injuries.

A 56-year-old Verona man was driving the truck. He stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators.

The accident is under investigation. Investigators say it doesn’t look like it was the driver’s fault.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is helping to reconstruct the accident.
