PECATONICA, Ill. (WIFR) - A Pecatonica mother-daughter duo is doing their part to send some love and comfort to the shooting victims in Parkland, Florida.

Becky and Emma Gocken are now sporting the colors of Stoneman Douglas High School to show support for the students and families impacted by the shooting. The two helped make maroon and silver ribbons to hand out to Pecatonica High School staff.

"Sending a form of unity together that we support each other as educators, as students, you feel a bond with anyone who's in that field," said Becky Gocken

The Gockens have been collecting donations for the local LCC comfort dogs that visited Florida. The money goes to paying for their travel expenses.
