UPDATE: Paychecks for RPS 205 employees expected by end of day

UPDATE: RPS 205 says district employees should see their paychecks deposited by the end of business on Friday.

RPS 205 Chief Financial Officer, Nikki Thorn, says quote "All affected employees should expect their paycheck to be deposited by the close of business today. We have also put measures in place to ensure this error will not happen again. Once again, I sincerely apologize for the error and inconvenience this may have caused."

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- An error in Rockford Public School's direct deposit system leaves district employees without their scheduled paychecks on Friday.

A statement released by RPS 205 Chief Financial Officer, Nikki Thorn, says "An unintentional error was made affecting employees' direct deposit scheduled for today's paycheck. We sincerely apologize for this error. All employees will be paid as soon as possible. We will communicate to employees the exact time frame to expect that payment later today. Again, we sincerely apologize for this error and inconvenience."
