ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) ----- The first year for Pasqua Mercato, Rockford's Italian market, comes to a close.
Sixteen vendors, selling items from food and drinks to candles and flowers, filled the parking lot at Lino’s on East State Street.
The event is designed to bring families and the community together to enjoy games and live music. Organizers say feedback from this summer will push them to continue the event next year and bring on more vendors.
"This is all about bringing together the neighborhood and the community, so we want their input and involvement as far as what we do next year. Obviously, I know there are other vendors that have already sought interest," said Charlie Schweinler.
The market ran for 11 weeks this summer, giving families the chance to enjoy the fun.
