ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Rockford's seventh annual Stroll on State celebration is set for Saturday, Nov. 30.
Stroll on State, presented by the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, is Rockford's largest single-day attraction. The celebration brought in 87,000 visitors last year.
Stroll on State kicks off at 2 p.m. with the parade. You can find the parade route here.
The city of Rockford also released the following details on commuting and parking for Stroll On State:
-All roadways within the footprint of the event will be closed by 6:00 a.m. (bordered by Jefferson St. to the north; Church St. to the west; Chestnut/Walnut St. to the south; and 6th St. to the east)
-If traveling westbound, you will be asked to follow Jefferson St. across the river; if traveling east, please use Chestnut/Walnut St.
-Parking is available in many municipal surface lots and decks for shoppers visiting the local shops and businesses downtown within the footprint on Small Business Saturday, the Rockford Icehogs game, and the concert at the Coronado Theater
-The Main St. North Parking Deck across from the Coronado Theater and the Church St. South Parking Deck have event parking rates of $5
There is also a shuttle service providing free rides from four locations from 1-9:30 p.m.
