WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- A judge ruled Dominique Walker, 27, not guilty of charges from a Feb. 2017 murder investigation.
Walker was one of three men accused for the shooting death of Brandon Taylor on Feb. 15, 2017. According to court records, Walker had been charged with unlawful use of weapons by a felon.
Police say Taylor was shot and killed at a party in the 1100 block of Cunningham Street. Another man from Elgin was also hurt from the shooting.
Shawnqual Layne, 25, and Tyrone Pearson, 37, also face charges from the shooting death. Both men are considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
