To celebrate American Housing Month, Northwest Bank is honoring those who help people achieve the goal of buying a house.
Mortgage loan orignators at Northwest Bank say there are several options for customers to choose from when it comes to financing their future home.
Experts say before buying a home, consider all current and expected financial obligations, figure out how much money you have for a down payment and know your credit score.
Some mortgage bankers say summer is a good time to buy or sell.
"People are looking to sell and buy before the school year starts," said Sheryl Bell, Northwest Bank mortgage loan originator. "They're not so busy with different things, they might have finished up home projects, the weather is nice, people are out and about looking at homes and rates are still good."
Northwest Bank hopes to highlight the variety of housing options that consumers have, and the role of banks in financing several housing options.
