LOVES PARK Ill. (WIFR) -- The Northeast Family YMCA opens its doors after two weeks of renovating the wellness center to meet everyone's needs.

After 11 years of being open, the YMCA felt it was time for a full renovation of the wellness center and invested more than$ 350,000 dollars. The remodeling includes new cardio machines, strength machines and a unique feature added to the center of the room called the Syngry 360 that allows for limitless options during your work out.

"For a group setting, if you had pod training. You could have someone doing push-ups, you could have somebody throwing a medicine ball and you could have someone on the monkey bars. You could have different attachments with TRX bands and really doing exercises that are going to benefit you and prevent injury down the road or just with your daily routine," said Melissa Burns, executive director, Northeast Family YMCA.

The Northeast Family YMCA will be having an official grand opening this Saturday. You can find more information at rockriverymca.org.
