ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- The NIU College of Business is building on Rockford's partnership with its Swedish international partnership city in Lidköping.
The new educational partnership will begin with a ten-day study abroad over spring break 2020. The trip will include classroom discussions and business visits.
Students who go to Sweden will earn credit for a three-hour marketing class. NIU instructor Dan morgan will be heading to Lidköping to establish business contacts.
"It's a great opportunity for them to hands on learn the experience and the culture of a new country, especially the business culture," said international business developer Linnea Bengtsson. "When they return back home to the United States, they are going to be able to add that to the resume and not only have knowledge of another experience or culture, but also a network over there to help them expand even further."
