Most parents steal from their kids’ Halloween candy, survey says

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Halloween is right around the corner, but kids might be getting tricked when it comes to their treats.

Cashback website conducted a survey on Halloween, including information on the celebrations and candy.

According to the survey, 78% of parents admit to stealing candy from their kid’s Halloween candy while 28% eating more candy than their own kids.

The survey polled a cross-section of 3,099 adults, aged 18 and over. It also says 71% of Americans stock up on sweets by buying more candy than they need for the night.

Reese’s was named the most popular Halloween candy in the survey with 62% of people saying it their favorite candy.
