'Minding The Gap' named Oscar finalist for 'Documentary Feature'

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (WIFR) -- "Minding the Gap," a documentary produced by Rockford native Bing Liu, has officially been nominated for an Oscar.

The film was one of five nominated for the Academy Awards' “Documentary Feature” category. “Minding the Gap,” joins “Free Solo,” “Hale County This Morning, This Evening,” “Of Fathers and Sons,” and “RBG” as nominees.

The film was one of 15 finalists announced for the "Documentary Feature" category last month.

The 91st Oscars will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019 in Hollywood. For the full list of Oscar nominations, click here
