Suspected identified for beating, stealing from female store employee

UPDATE: ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Rockford police say they're looking for the 17-year-old who battered and stole from a Jasmine's Pantry employee Tuesday night.
They're not releasing his name because he's a juvenile.
The suspect caught on surveillance camera stole several items from the store along with cash.

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A female worker at Jasmine's Pantry is knocked unconscious before being robbed Tuesday night.
Rockford police responded to a robbery around 7 p.m. in the 2600 block of Kilburn Avenue.
Officers learned a suspect entered the business and battered the female clerk unconscious and stole her belongings before fleeing.
Police are looking for a black man between 18 and 25 years old. He's around 5 feet 8 inches, thin, last seen wearing a stocking hat, black pants, white shoes and a grey "IHSA State Finals" wrestling hoodie with "Baker 80" printed on the back.
The victim is expected to be okay.
