WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- A man was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to a Loves Park murder in 2015.
James V. Doyle, 29, pled guilty to charges of first-degree murder and concealing a homicidal death.
Police learned about the murder of Moheb Diab, 26, after investigating a missing persons report on April 13, 2015. Diab's mother told police she had not seen her son for more than 24 hours.
Diab's vehicle was found in the 5300 Block of Forest Hills Court on April 17, 2015. Authorities later found Diab's body in Doyle's home at 7702 Eastmont Avenue in Loves Park.
In a follow-up investigation, Doyle told detectives he shot Diab and concealed his body in the basement of his home.
Doyle will be on Mandatory Supervised Release for three years once he is released from prison.
