Man dead after drunk driver rolls over vehicle in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- A man has died after a DeKalb County rollover crash in which the driver was drunk and distracted behind the wheel, authorities say.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. Tuesday on Sudyam Road, east of Somonuak Road.

Bradley Baumann, a 44-year-old passenger from Sandwich, Illinois, was ejected from the vehicle, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. He was sent to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Baumann was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the sheriff's office.

The driver, Autumn Jensen, 21, of Plano, Illinois, was driving drunk and using an electronic device as her vehicle went off the road and rolled over, according to the sheriff's office.

Jensen was treated for minor injuries at a hospital, then taken to DeKalb County Jail. Her charges include aggravated driving under the influence, reckless homicide, driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and using an electronic device while driving.

The sheriff's office says the crash is under further investigation.
