ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A man was charged with murder for the shooting death of Robert Wash last month.

Eric Brown, 28, is charged with first-degree murder, home invasion, and armed robbery for fatally shooting Wash. He was already in jail on unrelated charges.
Police say it happened around 8 p.m. on Oct. 15 in 4900 block of Harrison Avenue.
Police say Wash, also known as local musician "Pair-A-Dice," suffered gun shot wounds outside of an apartment building. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Wash was the city's 17th homicide victim of 2019.
Brown is being held at the Winnebago County Jail. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
