Man charged with 7th OWI after a hit and run accident
JANESVILLE, Wis. (WIFR) - Janesville police say 50-year-old Timothy Johnson of Janesville was arrested and charged with his 7th OWI after a hit and run accident.
Investigators say it happened at 2 A.M. at Bogey's in the 1700 block of North Washington Street. They say a call came for a hit and run for an unoccupied vehicle at that location.
A short time later, there was a suspicious vehicle call in the 1100 block of North Pine Street. When officers arrived, they found a car parked in the middle of the road with the lights off. The driver, Timothy Johnson, was passed out behind the wheel.
Officers say Johnson was highly intoxicated, but refused to take a field sobriety test.
Johnson was arrested and charged with his 7th OWI, operating after revocation due to alcohol, and hit and run to an unattended vehicle. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
