Man beaten by three people, one with a hammer, outside Family Dollar in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Rockford police are looking for three suspects who allegedly beat a man walking out of a Family Dollar store on Sunday night.

Police say a 24-year-old man was beaten by three people, including one who was armed with a hammer, outside of the store at 3824 Auburn Street.

The victim was taken to the hospital with head injuries. Police say he is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects were described as three black men in their twenties.

The armed suspect was described as a man with short dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans

Another suspect was last seen wearing a camouflage hat, yellow shirt, camouflage pants and white shoes. The third suspect had long dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a white shirt and red pants.
