Man arrested after attempted robbery to 11th Street Subway

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Rockford man is taken into custody swiftly after an alleged robbery to a Subway restaurant.

Officers responded to a possible armed robbery just before 7 p.m. Tuesday at 3313 11th Street in Rockford.

Police learned a suspect went into the Subway and made an order.

He then implied he had a weapon and announced his intention to rob the restaurant.

The employee ran away and the suspect took off empty-handed. No one was hurt.

A follow-up investigation determined the suspect as Donavan Ingram, 42.

He was found a day later around noon in the area of Roosevelt Road and 10th Street.

Ingram is charged with aggravated robbery.

He's in Winnebago County Jail and is innocent until proven guilty.
