ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- The Veterans Memorial Hall and Museum hosts its lunch and lecture series the second Wednesday of every month. Historian and tour guide Terry Dyer leads these lectures where he discusses historic figures. This session discussed the life of former president Theodore Roosevelt and his connection to Rockford. The next session is November 12th and the admission fee is 12 dollars including lunch.
"He put in his young 60 years of life what most of could not accomplish if we were given 125 years of healthy living that is an amazing thing in of itself and says a lot about the character of man who visited this city five times,” said Terry Dyer from the Veterans Memorial Hall.
