Longtime Northwest Bank receptionist retires after 44 years

Northwest Bank of Rockford is celebrating the retirement of receptionist Roscie McInnes, who has been working at the company for 44 years.

McInnes was hired on the spot as proof operator to run Northwest Bank's check machine in July of 1974 when she was just 23 years old.

She then became a receptionist 11 years later.

McInnes says she is excited to begin this new journey but will miss the people.

"It's bittersweet. I'm very, very excited to be retired, but then again, I'm losing a lot of my family and friends that I won't see daily. I'll still see them -- just not daily," McInnes said.
