Rockford business owners discuss post-holiday sales

ROCKFORD, Ill (WIFR)--- It's after Christmas and while some retailers might see a decrease in sales, other local shops like Culture Shock in Rockford are still busy.

Due to many people traveling and just celebrating Christmas on a different day, many customers are still walking through the doors of local shops.

"We have so many people who have either gotten cash or gift cards who want to come in and use that," says owner Skyler Davis of Culture Shock.

Co-owner Alicia Neubauer says her inventory is running low but is happy to see people shopping at local storefronts.

"When you do shop locally, you are infusing money back into the community so your purchases locally really do fund taekwondo lessons and piano lessons," says Neubauer.
