Local agent encourages parents to invest in children's life insurance

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- One local State Farm agent urges parents and grandparents to look into their children's life insurance.

Brian Pinkstaff says he learned the importance of life insurance for children after losing one of his own.

Pinkstaff says permanent life insurance provides many benefits and purchasing early may protect insurability.

"They can increase their life insurance and the only thing that they're actually looked at is their age," Pinkstaff said. "Their health is no longer a concern so as a parent or grandparent what were doing is actually protecting our children."

By purchasing a permanent life policy, you are also locking in coverage for life, regardless of future health.
