JANESVILLE, Wis. (WIFR) -- A Janesville man faces attempted murder charges after being shot in the stomach Thursday morning.
Just after 6:30 a.m., Janesville police responded to shots fired at 1721 S. Willard Ave.
They learned the man was shot and driven to St. Mary's Hospital, where he was later released.
The victim identified Gage Holmes, 26, of Janesville as the suspect.
After Holmes was questioned, he was taken into custody.
He's charged with Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.
Holmes is in the Rock County Jail.
